STOP PRESS... Emyr now has in the arsenal of equipment a solid state timecode field recorder. This is ideal for working jam-synch timecode to a camera for sep-mag sound on location or, for stand alone recordings such as podcasts, field or on location voice over recording, fx tracks gathering etc. Recordings made are in industry standard BWF .wav file format and can be delivered on a variety of media.

Emyr Morris is a Swansea / Bristol based Soundman with own kit who is experienced in all aspects of location sound for television.

Experienced in Single Camera (PSC), Outside Broadcast (OB), Studio, SNG, ENG, Live, Pre-record, Sports, Corporate, News, Short Films, Pop Videos and Events sound and communications.

Emyr is especially experienced in live broadcasts and has all manner of equipment to sort out problematic jobs from small mixers, headphone amps, telex earpieces, curly tubes and various size ear-moulds etc. Sorting out 'communications' problems is a speciality!

Emyr is also experienced on the setup and running of the Telex (Adam/Zeus) Communications Systems as found in many studios and outside broadcast situations.

No job is too big or too small - he can even cope with easy jobs that turn into the unexpected.

Emyr is flexible and hard working, he is not afraid of working long hours or having to go that extra mile or two to do that unusual live broadcast from the top of the mountain (as he once did for HTV Wales News when the ban on walking the Brecon Beacons was lifted temporarily during the foot and mouth epidemic).

On a recent shoot for the RAF Regiment Emyr was found tabbing over the Brecon Beacons with the regiment wearing body armour and carrying his full sound kit and supplies.

Recently he has been working as a Sound Supervisor as part of the team which broadcast the daily quiz programme Brainteaser on Five for Endemol West, Bristol.
Duties there not only included the smooth daily running and maintenance of all aspects of sound and communications, but also the personal career development of the sound assistants who worked there.
